The following questionnaire can help you determine  to what extent  you need a resilience development process.

Please read the statements and rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 on the basis of how well they describe you. 5 is  'completely true',  1 is  'not true at all.’

    1. I don't even try to figure out what led to the crisis; failure is almost a family heritage I've been used to for a long time.

    2. I handle deeply uncertain or ambiguous situations quite well.

    3. I have learnt from past experience and avoid those situations in which I burnt myself.

    4. I am very much surprised at my friends running up and down for specialists and experts; everybody is keen on giving “good advice”, although we know for these outsiders nothing is too expensive at our account.

    5. I don't believe, things can get better, though I would really like to. That's all, I can manage from my own strength.

    6. I’ve learned that whatever crisis I get into, I have to honestly share it with at least one person.

    7. I tend chewing over the past grievances and drawing general conclusions out of them for the future.

    8. I think and I believe there is nothing new under the sun; the problems are always the same and there are no really new solutions.

    9. If any of my attempts fails, I don't think on the way how to solve it, or who can help me to solve it, I would rather give it up.

    10. I can understand and accept the mistakes of my colleagues; sometimes it also happens to me, that I forget something, or I mistake a date into my diary and I have to reschedule my agenda.

    11. If I had to ask somebody for help in doing a significant part of my project I would feel, that the success is his or hers and not mine any more.

    12. It is very important to me that when crises or tempting situations arise and I need to be flexible, I still try to stay myself.

    13. In stressful chaotic situations, I try to overcome anxiety and confusion; then I can make better use of my internal resources.

    14. At the beginning of a project, I am always very active, but in the meantime so many other important issues emerge, that I often need to make a compromise, and postpone the completion.

    15. I say: if you are in trouble, it is especially true that you should not leave the old path for an alternative uncertain solution.

    16. I believe that difficult, critical or dangerous situations do not provide an excuse for not fighting for our goals.

    17. I trust that if I take the first step to achieve my goals, help will come as well.

    18. During our life we participate in various social and business groups, friendships and relationships, and the secret of success is flexibility, and maximum adaptation to the given situation.

    19. I am an optimist in general and do not shy away from problems; I always trust that I will find the solution.

    20. I try to meet the expectations and to adapt to others, because I brought this from home and school and I believe this is the right attitude.

    21. I don't want to bother others with my difficulties; they cannot solve my problems instead of me anyway.
